2005 Podcast and Portable Media Expo Called Best New Show
Expo Magazine has named the Podcast and Portable Media Expo one of the best new trade shows of 2005. The magazine's Best New Show award honors the best association, independent, consumer and corporate show launches. The Podcast and Portable Media Expo was recognized as the best new Trade and Consumer Show for 2005. "Our sales team had to not only show exhibitors why they should take a booth at the show, but also educate them as to what podcasting was in the first place," notes show organizer Tim Bourquin, above right. "When we first started making calls for sponsors and exhibitors, many didn't even know that individual podcasters were buying their products or even what podcasting was."
