New Zealand Gallery Using Podcasts as Part of Art
The City Gallery, Civic Square, Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand is using an interactive website and a podcast to accompany the art exhibition Patricia Piccinini- In Another Life. The exhibit, showing through June 11th, features sculptures that explore ideas about nature, technology and the effects of people on the environment. Gallery visitors can download artist commentaries to a portable media player to use as an exhibition audio guide. In addition to making the podcast available via the Internet, City Gallery Wellington has iPods pre-loaded with the commentaries for visitors to use while they view the exhibition.
