New NASA Podcast Features the Sounds from Saturn's
Sounds made from radio emissions during a recent lightning storm on Saturn are contained in NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory Podcast. The lightning's signals were captured by the Cassini spacecraft. The audio sounds like the crackling that can be heard when listening to an AM radio during a thunderstorm on Earth. The podcast also includes an interview with a Cassini scientist, Dr. Bill Kurth of the University of Iowa.
