New Apple Boombox Fails to

ipod_hi_fi.jpg Apple today announced iPod Hi-Fi, a high-end ($349) iPod boombox dock with remote. The Hi-Fi is portable, and can run from six D-cell batteries or wall power. Apple is reinventing the home stereo with the new iPod Hi-Fi, the first iPod accessory that adds true high-fidelity sound quality to the iPod, said Steve Jobs, Apple s CEO. First reactions suggest that customers aren't as impressed with Apple's latest announcement. "Apple CEO Steve Jobs called the Hi-Fi the reinvention of the home stereo," comments davebarnes at ThinkSecret. "I thought the $6 cable I bought at Radio Shack that connected my iPod to my stereo (way more expensive and better fidelity than the Hi-Fi) was the 'first iPod accessory...'"
