Talkcast reminder: WWDC preview, 10 pm ET

Filed under: TUAW Business, Podcasts Last week's talkcast was a valedictory to our trans-Atlantic comrade, Nik Fletcher, who has ended his tenure with TUAW but remains active over at Download Squad. Download the show from Talkshoe, play it from the Flash player in the continuation of this post, if you like, or pick it up on iTunes. Join us again later tonight, Sunday June 1 at 10 pm ET for our WWDC preview show. We'll be talking to developers (hint -- developers, if you want to talk about your products to Mac users, c'mon down!) and giving away the trivia prizes we neglected to hand out last week. Reminder: Talkcast tonight at 10 PM

Filed under: TUAW Business, Podcasts Well, it's Sunday, and as always TUAW will be starting the week off with our weekly live talkcast, thanks to the cool guys at TalkShoe. Michael Rose is on the road, but may still have a chance to call in and chat. I'll be taking over hosting duties for the night; we'll be taking calls and discussing the big Apple news (and Apple rumors) of the week. We'll also be giving away some schwag and software in what may possibly be our first "Movie Based Mac Trivia Challenge." Once again, you can join the conversation on TalkShoe by using the shiny new browser-only client; you can also use the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client that we all know and love. For the web UI, just click the "TalkShoe Web" button on our profile page at 10 pm Sunday. You can also listen in on the Talkshoe page or call in on regular phone or VOIP lines: dial (724) 444-7444 and enter our talkcast ID, 45077. TUAW Talkcast #22: Ghosts of Macworlds

Filed under: TUAW Business, Podcasts As Dave mentioned earlier, Sunday's talkcast gave a survey of some of the finest moments of Macworld Expos past -- and I've been so crazed getting ready to go west, I nearly forgot to make the show live. Download the show directly or from Talkshoe, play it from the Flash player in the continuation of this post, if you like, or pick it up on iTunes. Please forgive as well my coughing during the show; I'm feeling much better now, thanks. This coming Sunday we'll be kicking off our Macworld Expo coverage with an early show at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET, an open-phones opportunity for all of you to call in and let us know what you want to see from the show floor, the keynote and the conferences. Time permitting, we'll be doing another brief show Monday night with a sense of the pre-keynote atmosphere, and maybe even a Tuesday morning chat from our seats in line. Keep an eye on the Talkshoe page and click the 'follow' button to get updates on the show schedule. We'll also tweet and tag when we've got talkcasts planned for next week. TUAW Talkcast #10 online, #11 live tonight at 9

Filed under: Podcasts We had a fun time on last Sunday's show, covering everything from the surge in higher-ed Mac purchasing to the insightful interview with Ambrosia's Andrew Welch with panelists Mat, Dave & Erica; now you can hear it in glorious, mostly-clear MP3 monophonic audio (there are some voice dropouts at the 22 minute mark, but it clears up after that). You can download the show directly, see it in our RSS or iTunes feeds, or stream it from Talkshoe. Tonight we'll have Dave C. back along with Mike Schramm for a whirlwind review of the week that was, along with your Ask TUAW questions and comments. To join in live, visit our Talkshoe page for call-in info. You can also join the show in listen-only mode from any phone by calling (724) 444-7444 at 9 pm ET, entering the show ID (45077) and then pressing 1#. Hope to hear you there! TUAW Talkcast #7: Inside the iPhone Dev

Filed under: Podcasts Listen in for a wild and wide-ranging session with special guest Kai Cherry as we cover the ins and outs of the iPhone development scene, with an emphasis on the unlock options that have emerged. We had a rollicking time last Sunday night (so rollicking, in fact, that it's taken me all week to mix down the show -- my apologies!) and we are working on improving the audio quality both for the live show and the final podcast that results. You can catch the show on our feeds (RSS and iTunes) or via direct download here. Please join us again tomorrow night (Sunday 9/23 at 9 pm ET) for another live show; more discussion of your favorite Apple topics with bloggers Mike Schramm, Dave Caolo and Mat Lu. Shuffle on over to Talkshoe for the client and call-in details. Remember, with the new Talkshoe interface you can call in anonymously (#1 after entering the show ID, 45077), auto-connect with your PIN via caller ID (#2), or just start entering your PIN immediately. VoIP clients like Gizmo, Xmeeting, Skype or Talkshoe's built-in Shoephone will also work just fine. Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments
